Who We Are
Hello, We are the TrustNest Cloud Services Team
In March 2020, we launched the first managed services: Kubernetes to address local customer who wants to run their workload closed to their users (in North America). 4 people was in the team.
At the beginning of 2021, we’ve decided to make our infrastructure as code more robust, and have started to structure our Operation activities. 6 people in the team.
In the summer 2021, we have scaled our activities between Canada and Europe, and build an enabling team to help our users to integrate our managed services. 9 people in the team
In January 2022, The Landing Zones Team and the Managed Services Team are merged to benefit from more synergies between teams and france-canada. 15 people in the team.
In March 2022, We decided to launch a new managed services based on databases. The goal was to officially provides Elasticsearch but also SQL and noSQL services.
In July 2022, we decided to integrate IT IAM and IT network activities in the team. 30 people.
In October 2022, we have launched a new activity in the team: support level 2 across Managed Cloud Services and Software Factory tribes.
In January 2023, we put in place the pillars of the 2023 vision: building a new proximity with our users, delivering milestone for strategic programs like LEWIS, being for transparent with the costs and improving our maturity in SRE and Security.
In April 2023, we went to TDF Singapore to build a local platform activity including support level 2.
In July 2023, the support level 2 runs in follow the sun. A cross-team training has been performed in Paris.
In October 2023, A cross tribe operation team is announced, managed by MCS. The goal is to disseminate SRE tools & practices within Thales Digital Factory & Thales Corporate Engineering, focus in Q4 2023 on Network Backbone and Software Factory reliability. A new product team is also launched, responsible to design & support Virtual Desktop Infrastructure service.
In June 2024, Support Level 2 team joins the Cross Tribe Operation Team to break silo between L2 and L3 support. A re-organization is launched to make different priorities for X-tribe team: Core-Stack responsible to maintain Observability Stack, SLA Dashboards and develop integration kit, Integration responsible to integrate Service into Datadog on TDP and Service Referent & Support responsible to pilot a subset of services on TDP (single point of contact for products). APIM Team is also launch with Microsoft PS.
In the future we would like to be the most efficient platform within the group to both produce and consume services.
Our Works
What We Do
Build Product Release every 3 weeks
Our services are based on what we call a product. This product is released every 3 weeks by the Engineering team. The product contains a lot of infrastructure as code based on terraform, terragrunt, fluxcd and also custom development such as the configuration reporting feature.
Operate Service for our customer
Every day, the Operation team answer to user demands using ticketing system, improve the service by reviewing configuration, performances, security KPIs. Their goal is to anticipate the issues on the platform and mitigate them before having an incident.
Help our users to use our services
The ecosystem around Kubernetes and Elasticsearch is huge. A dedicated cloud expert team is here to help our users to navigate across security constraints, best practices keeping in mind the business goals.
Animate a technical community
It’s just the beginning, but our vision is to share our feedbacks and connect the dots between our users.
OUR MISSION
Provide competitive services with the right level of security
Security is DNA of Thales, but it also has a cost. Our conviction is the security need to be implemented at every level of the solution: the foundation, the developed code, the organization etc… Using a secured infrastructure is not sufficient and is expensive. We are pretty sure that using a managed services accelerate the implementation of the security of our development by re-using mutualized assets such as Pentester, CSOC experts, Operations Services.
Digital Transformation & Cloud
Maximize the expected benefits of the cloud
The cloud is full of promise for generating value. Olivier Flous, Vice President Engineering and Digital Transformation at Thales, and Max Blanchet, Executive Director at Accenture discuss the cloud as a new industrial revolution and how to maximize its expected benefits, in particular through the Digital Factory model.
