[IMPROVEMENT] Jira C2 Performance - Database Upgrade

author image

Jira Database migration

On the June 9th, we migrated the Jira database from single server to flex server in azure.

We saw a huge performance increase and understood the issues we had in jira before were due mainly to the database server performances decreasing over the time. (Single server is deprecated and being killed in march 2025)

Before the migration, errors and long response time on jira could be observed in datadog, but no errors were showing on the old database regarding failed connection, errors, or latency.

We can see on the graph below that these markers we follow on our Jira instance have greatly improved since the migration.
